with all the news concerning the child abuse lawsuits, and from reading many comments concerning the wts' view of women, i started remembering lots of little things that were brought up at my kh in the many years i attended.
i don't remember anything pertaining to the brothers.
but, there were things brought up from the platform that just seem ridiculous.
At the quick build at my old congregation, the guy doing the carpark/road area, pulled my (now ex) wife up for one button her blouse being undone, and exposing a little bit of cleavage. That whole society is obsessed with sex, that all the male members can do is think about it constantly - or is that just all men

yesterday we have a study of the watchtower about obedience and submission.
this study arose a lot of questions and heightened emotions in me and the interested retired judge sitting besides me.
we came accross the 9th pharagraph, page 28 of the april 1, 2007, where it says that: "it is easy to obey when everything is clear and we agree, but we will show that we are trully submissive if we yeild even when we do not personally understand the direction provided.
Christianity is all about your own conscience, not having to rely on others to answer each circumstance you face. Its not about blindly submitting to men, but being able to discern for yourself whats right and wrong as you understand it, to your level of spirituality. On judgement day people won't be able to say 'they told me what to do'. Its clearly wrong, its very cultish and obviously shows the leaders fear losing their grip on those minds they have so cleverly and deviously captivated.

Thanks Blondie! What a telling study article, paragraphs 4,5 and 6 were the ones that stood out for me. Particularly this bit:
These "gifts in men" are overseers, or elders, appointed by Jehovah and his Son, through holy spirit,...........In this time of the end, however, with the number of anointed overseers still on earth ever dwindling, the vast majority of Christian elders in the congregations are of the other sheep. Since these are appointed by representatives of the Governing Body under the leadings of the holy spirit, they too can be said to be under the right hand (or, under the direction) of the Fine Shepherd, Jesus Christ. (Isaiah 61:5, 6) Since the elders in our congregations submit to Christ, the Head of the congregation, they deserve our full cooperation .
Firstly it says that its to the annointed that these gifts in men are given and in the next breath, they have over stepped the direction in the bible and now do their own appointing, of a group of people unqualified to do the task, even to the point that these great crowd elders are not able to be called Christians.
It was this area that I had issue's with when I was in, I couldn't see how the verses used could be applied to us non anointed ones.

Although the suggestion sounds good, how really would this go down? Will you be subtle about what you say or quite obvious? How far can you get through something that doesnt sound right to the audience? Do you have a topic in mind and ways to develop it?

i got some good bruises going on, but thats all part of the fun.. i'd always wanted to do it, and apart from doing something called laser quest, which is just light guns, i'd always considered it to much of a no no, when a dub.
i recommend it to anyone, there was men, women, children of say 13 or 14 too, the paint balls are a bit pricy but if its a one off, and the memories you take away are great.. cs 101.

I trust you are well - and thanks for that advice you gave a little while back, most helpful its been. Anyway, you really dont learn anything about war from paintball, the amount of times you get picked off, you'd be utterly useless in a real battle! Sure it copies some of the things from a military sense, but only in the same way a computer game would. I'm glad i've done it, and i'm not told whether or not its ok for me to do anymore. Besides i'd have loved to have had a paintball session against the Elders in my old cong!

It really is so clear now to see the self promoting propaganda they use to keep their flocks in line and brain dead, now we've distanced ourselves from those lies. I'm sure there will be some attending that will feel its coming on too strong, being to presumptious, too sure of their possition, lacking humility and pride. Certainly it would be good to take the fds verses and try to be that good slave as apposed to the evil one it mentions just after. But to try and prove that you have been chosen by Christ is self promoting delusional thinking, its arrogant to say the least. If you despense 'proper' food, then why does this same food become rotten and poisionous? Was it like feeding on Mc Donalds, only to find out later it wasnt all that good for you? Proper food would still be just that, not now having harmful properties. In reality its just been a really good way to keep people under the control of that group of old men (slowly being replaced by younger ones).
